Transportation Writer and Project Lead | National Renewable Energy Lab
Supported four transportation research groups by developing outreach strategies and producing a wide range of content, including technical reports, presentations, feature stories, and case studies for NREL.gov and AFDC.gov. Led a six-person team in redesigning a web-based resource for more than 75 Clean Cities and Communities coalitions and created internal guides to help both writers and non-writers produce consistent, impact-driven materials.

Led multi-channel communications efforts that included producing a weekly newsletter for over 8,000 subscribers, producing original blog content, and editing regular columns from staff and guest writers. Supported press outreach by maintaining media lists, drafting releases, and connecting leadership with regional and national outlets. Supported an organizational rebrand from survey development to RFP creation and website redesign.

Progressed from intern to editor-in-chief over a decade. Led editorial planning, staff management, and content development for 20–40 pages of weekly coverage. Edited the work of full-time reporters and approximately 25 freelance contributors, produced a weekly newsletter for more than 33,000 subscribers, and managed special editions covering news, arts, and culture. Supervised more than 25 interns and oversaw multimedia projects. Developed editorial policies and processes to ensure accuracy, clarity, and timeliness across all published content.
